New​

  • Unreadable skills no longer stop the first screen. If a skill file from another tool can't be read, you see "N skills could not be read". After you confirm, Elanous repairs only what it can and keeps the original.
  • Clear sign-in where a browser can't open. Over ssh or on a machine without a screen, Elanous no longer tries to open a browser; it says why and what to do instead. At the machine itself, ChatGPT sign-in opens in the browser directly.
  • One language. First-run setup and sign-in text now use one language.
  • elanous doctor finds local LLMs on this machine, such as Ollama and LM Studio. elanous doctor --bundle writes one diagnostics file with secrets redacted, which you can send when asking for help.
  • Bring over what you already use.
    • elanous import shows the skills and MCP servers it found in agents you already use, such as Claude Code and Codex.
    • elanous import --apply brings them in. Skills stay where they are and are not copied; MCP servers arrive switched off.
    • elanous import --undo reverts the import in one step.
    • Secrets and sign-ins are not moved.
    • elanous connect claude hooks up the skills of an agent you already use in one step.
  • Telegram and Discord bots carry over. First-run setup finds your existing Telegram and Discord bot settings and shows them. It brings them over only if you agree, and token values are never shown.
  • Decisions in your DMs. When Elanous needs a person to decide, it asks with button cards in a Telegram or Discord DM. It asks twice before anything that can't be undone.
  • Web terminal. Opening a terminal in the web app no longer freezes for a few seconds the first time, and tabs in the background stop refreshing.
  • Error reports. When an error happens, Elanous sends only the error, the version and a random install ID to the operators. It sends no name or email.
    • Reports are deleted automatically after 30 days.
    • You are told on first run.
    • One line turns it off: elanous config set errorReports.enabled false.
  • Docs now mark each screen as stable or experimental. A new guide shows how to put a single HTML page online with Vercel.

Experimental​

  • After you upload event photos and the vertical video is made, an Instagram feed draft is prepared on its own and waits in "Pending posts". Nothing is posted until a person taps "Final post".
